This was a close call. They tried hard to seize SG's murder virginity, but the impenetrable wall kept this one just outside of the northern SG city limits.

Police spokesman Sgt. L'Jean McKneely Jr. said crews responded around 7 a.m. to the 3000 block of Crestwood Drive after reports of a man down in a front yard.
The victim was found with multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead on the scene, McKneely said. He didn't say when the shooting itself occurred.
This marks the fifth homicide in the past four days within the city limits of Baton Rouge, a spike in gun violence that has left detectives scrambling to solve an influx of cases. Police have said they don't believe the recent shootings are related.

That's that neighborhood off of Cedarcrest. It's gone downhill a good bit in the past 20 years. It used to be a decent middle class neighborhood.

We need to create a violence task force committee consisting of members of our faith community to start the conversation of the disproportionate equity between our communities. We will commission a study to explore the possibility of creating a new community action board in order to host community meetings to discuss the problems plaguing our communities.

That doesn’t mean anything.Take Vince Foster for example, he had multiple wounds but it was a suicide. It’s possible
