What? Then you will shortly be hearing a warm "guhd aftanooon..." followed by the sound of loud eating.

It has been shite for many years.

I cut through Cedercrest fairly often on my way home when I go to Reeves. I never have felt unsafe there but yeah it's not a great neighborhood.

Pretty sure the StG organizers were not interested in that neighborhood.

Obviously this area needs a new bike path that is has ample lighting along with a new midnight basketball league.

Probably need to throw in a CATS express lane from there to CCL to give these folks better opportunities

Link me to ONE article that describes a suicide victim who did the act IN HIS FRONT YARD and I will apologize for calling you a total dipshit.

I like to think it was a homeowner shooting a burglar who just never bothered to call the cops.

I can tell you what is going on here. Just like in Baltimore, Dallas and other cities seeing a rise in crime. Install a liberal Democrat mayor who gets elected by pandering to the constituency with claims that Police are the boogey man. Appoint a politically inclined Police Chief who sets out to demonize his/her own officers to make points with the Mayor and local pols. Prosecute / fire a few officers for various "offenses". Shockingly, rank and file officers stop being pro-active and/or giving a shite about "fighting crime" and adopt a reactive response to crime. Ta Dah! Rise in crime.

Have we been able to rule out that it was just an accidental shooting that took place while filming another local rap video?

Crestwood is one of the GOAT cut around of traffic in Baton Rouge. Every afternoon people sit at that stop sign on Cedarcrest but you can cut around on Crestwood and skip everybody in line and come out at that 4 way stop.

Well it's in the city of Baton Rouge so the organizers couldn't be interested even if they for some unknown reason would want it.
