My mom said she is not going back to the mall until they find it. She is terrified of snakes and she thinks it’s going to fall on her if she went lol.

That’s what they’re afraid of — just think if the snake fell out of the ceiling onto some unsuspecting passerby below… that person would be getting paid BIGLY

I read that they think she’s in the ductwork for the Mall’s HVAC system above the aquarium. Which means she’s probably getting 50-60 degree refrigerated air almost constantly.

A Burmese Python’s body will slow down significantly below 65 degrees. They would struggle outside even in south Louisiana’s mild winters. It’s one of the reasons the evasive species can’t seem to spread its habitat north beyond south/central Florida into the northern Gulf Coast states like Alabama or Louisiana.

It she’s in the ductwork, she’s probably not moving very much. Likely curled up to stay as warm as she can and much harder to detect.

Each rebate space has to provide their own HVAC. Usually a fan coil or blower coil that ties to the mall CHW/HHW loop. Yes the leaving air temp off the CHW coil is 55-60 it is reheated before leaving the unit. Duct temps would be higher then 60

It's true. Those kinds of snakes need consistent temps over 60 degrees to survive. It gets below freezing with some regularity in winter throughout southern Louisiana.

The Blue Zoo is probably going to see an uptick in visitors. I kind of want to see Cara now.
