It is probably close to 10 years since I've been to mall of LA. What is it like these days?

Teeny Bopper heaven. You wouldn't recognize most of the stores. BR has now lost Sur la Table and WS.

William Sonoma reminds me of that scene in the classic movie Hall Pass.

Owen Wilson buys 3 shots of Tequila at a dance club and the bartender says “That’ll be $59”. Owen Wilson says “$59? It’s all kids in here. How are they affording these prices?”

Remember when the city of Baton Rouge annexed the mall? I remember.

I went a few months ago and it ws oddly uplifting. Reminded me of simpler times. I wish we could go back to it.

Absurd number of janky jewelry stores & athletic shoe stores. Over a dozen of each.

Really makes you wonder what that mall is going to look like in another decade. Brick and mortar retail was struggling pre Covid.

The last time I was there was around 2010, and it was like this then.

Yes. All except the anchor stores (Dillards, etc.) and a few of the out parcels.

It's going to have to start going after non-retail tenants. Hopefully that aquarium thing helps.
