I got a dollar this will be just like Covid.. everything they are saying is a lie or misinformation will end up being true!

I am sorry all these people are losing their homes. I wish that on nobody.
I'm not upset they finally get to experience the incompetence they chose to govern them.
I always enjoy watching big city liberals experience the government they elected.
Political tribalism is a serious fricking problem in this country, but tell me. When there's a disaster in Louisiana, do you enjoy watching bayou trash, Louisiana coonasses experience the government they elected as well?
Because with every yard of Louisiana coastline that washes away in a hurricane, along with every stilted trailer, you can point the finger at every single whitebooted, trashy as frick commercial fisherman on the Louisiana coast.

Trump transition team spokesperson Steven Cheung replied to Newsom's accusation, telling Fox News Digital, "Instead of appearing on liberal podcasts, maybe Newscum [sic] should be doing his f---ing job and actually help people who continue to suffer under his terrible leadership."
Because there are hot spots and the Santa Ana winds are coming again.

serious question: what is going to happen to/where are the going to take all of this ash and debris?
I can’t imagine the cost of just cleanup with how many rules and regulations California probably has on garbage and landfills along with getting these big truck convoys through LA traffic.

Why in the world didn’t they have an all out aerial blitz using every resource available in southwest to put these out during the break in the wind? If there’s another several days of high winds they’ll just have to sit back and wait again.

Lower IQ people love this stuff, and we damn sure have a lot of those types in this state.

They have. It is just that actual firefighting efforts don't get attention in this thread.
Yesterday morning they started with this over the Palisades Fire:
quote:
Aircraft Assisting.
Air Attack 3NT, Lead 53.
Air Tankers 41, 107, 122, 181, 182, 912, 914.
Copters 2, 4, 5, 55, 61, 95B, 602, 605.
Other planes and copters were elsewhere on smaller fires or on standby and provided support in different areas of the fire as needed/when called.
Later in the the day yesterday more had joined while others rotated out due to flight time limits.

Aircraft Assisting.
Air Attack 52, Lead 78.
Air Tankers 12, 41, 95, 107, 122, 181, 182, 912, 914, MAFFS 4, 6.
Copters 3PG, 4PG, 8PJ, 19, 22, 47, 61, 95B, 602.
This is just over the Palisades Fire.
Resources from all across the West have been helping.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Someone left out Arizona on that map and caused a bit of a kerfuffle. Arizona took offense, but they kissed and made up before the day was out.
Nighttime aerial resources are different. The super scooper planes stop at nightfall. They can't fly in the dark. Helicopters continue working through the night.

California's fire issues are directly related to the regulatory environment, whther you want to believe it or not.

You are confused about this. The majority of people that you are calling "bayou trash" rebuilt after Katrina/RitA with no govt help. When they tried to get reimbursed they were denied. The people you want to point out here are the people in areas that weren't used to the storms and hadn't been effected before. The "bayou trash" people just moved on like they always have. So f-off. Those people aren't NOLA, they didn 't cause the erosion. The Corps and the people up river wanting to save population centers did. This aint that.

Very talented. But man, this stuff is becoming difficult to watch. Just so much devastation.

They made good use of the light winds overnight on the Eaton Fire (the one threatening areas of Pasadena). They also held ground on the Palisades Fire despite an uptick in winds on the western flank near Malibu last night.

Eaton and Palisades Fire Morning Update:
The good news, a message from a firefighter on the ground: “Mandeville canyon held last night, rotors pounded it all night, CH47s were shaking my truck they were so low.”
The Eaton Fire is now 14,117 acres and 27% contained.
The Palisades Fire is 23,707 acres and 11% contained. On today’s episode I’ll cover the progress being made, and also a conversation I had with a Forest Supervisor in California about the continued Forest Service cuts that were being still implemented amidst these historic fires.
Thanks to the subscriber who shared this view of ground and aviation Ops on the Palisades Fire. The last 24 hours is being described as one of the largest wildfire aerial operations in history.

Louisiana's coastal protection, poor sinking infrastructure, and worse in the nation insurance premiums are also directly related to Louisiana's regulatory environment that was voted for, whether you want to believe it or not.
But lacking empathy when someone house gets washed away in a storm means you're a piece of shite
