Which is why it's so much more important for California to practice correct forestry and fire techniques.

I am scheduled to fly into Burbank a week from tomorrow. Wondering at this point if the airport willbe open. If there will be any rental cars available. If the company I am meeting with will have a building.

Six independent fires… when does it become more reasonable to assume this was arson and not an accident?

I'd wager more, but statistics say at least one is arson.

Excellent clip.

Between the time that Lefties begin talking about rainbow unicorns in high school and the inevitable day when they are horrifically mugged by reality, is the period where they destroy the culture. That middle destructive period lasts decades however. Which is why we can never truly have nice things; because the unicorn believers always outnumber those who understand how the fukk things work.

Good luck rebuilding, people. You will discover your government hates you more than your insurance company and now you get to fight both. I have legitimate sympathy for their nightmare that is about to unfold. Far more lives will be lost due to red tape stress than in these fires.

Wait until those who need to rebuild start dealing with the bureacracy they voted for when it comes time to get permits and rebuild. It's going to be a nightmare.

See the Corolla rant above.

I’m not sure I agree though. Most of the people whose voices matter will have assistants handling all this and there will likely be fast tracked methods to rebuild this. But yes it’s terrible and it’s going to be a disaster for them.

Our entire countries insurance is going to be kicked in the nuts.

I tend to think that the people who fund the bureaucracy will be ok. The red tape gets thrown out really fast when a lot of wealthy, prominent people start hurting and causing a stir.

Problem is, these are the ones who can actually afford to stay somewhere while this happens or take their money and go elsewhere. Leaves the rest of us here to deal with all this crap.
