Yeah, I can get work done outside this morning without sweating from the heat or it pouring down rain on me. It’s a blessing not having to deal with the severe weather other people will have to deal with today. I wasn’t expecting these conditions so yes, it’s nice out.

I switched schools this year and my new building is much better than my old but still pretty sad to see the overall lack of care

I can’t find it in the thread, but the 24 hour helicity map shows tracks of storms around Alabama but there’s a gap around the over the mountain area of Birmingham.

Does that mean they’re not considering that area to be in the line of fire for tornados?

Sun shining in Ft Morgan. Just picked up 2 sacks of crawfish. Moved boil up Noon to beat the bad stuff. Blowing 25mph out the South. Gulf sounds angry.

Great technical analysis as always.

Summary:

Sounds like some of the high end things may be limited as we’ve moved from forecasting to now casting, but there are still a lot of reasons to believe it still pops off.

The streaks on the updraft helicity maps don’t necessarily mean that’s exactly where tornadoes will go. It just provides an idea of where the best overall area for potential tornadoes is. Anywhere that’s in the high risk area has the potential of seeing a tornado.

I figured that’s what you meant. I was just laughing about how it’s all relative.

Did you, ya know..read the post? Our house has windows in pretty much every room with no basement and 2 young kids. Inlaws have a sturdy arse house with a large concrete basement. Seemed like kind of an easy choice.

No intention to derail the thread but was admiring your photos. Will we get shot if we post up with a fishing pole at one of your ponds?
