Which is why we should be hiring proven & not a diamond in the rough

If there was a proven coach in the country that we could convince to come here, I’d be all for it. But we gotta be realistic

I 100% agree. If he doesn’t pan out, there’s a chance we could go 2-10 and 0-8 in the SEC. Hopefully it doesn’t get that bad!

Maybe Tay Tay plays out of his mind today and we beat Missou, all we can wish for at this point.

If he’s playing today for somebody, I hope he can still be fresh for the game against Mizzou tomorrow.

Why hire an up and comer from a G5 conference who may or may not pan out in the SEC when you can hire someone who already demonstrated an 0-7 record in SEC play? Easy choice!
So we’re out here in the middle of nowhere Arkansas and my 80+ year old grandmother just shared this with the entire group of 20 of us or so -

“We actually got a new man that brings our Amazon packages up to the house. He’s black and NONE of our packages have come up missing. Can you believe that?”

My cousin who is super liberal and is dating a black guy did not think it was funny at all. Luckily her boyfriend is not here.

Unless that big money is all going towards NIL.

How many times have we been promised this? There’s honestly no way to track it so it’s all BS to me anyways. I think that’s a talking point that gets distributed so that people shut up about being disappointed with a coaching hire/decision.

I remember that was the promise of what would happen when we didn’t fire Pittman after 2023. “We are saving money from his buyout and using it in NIL to become more competitive”

Give me a break

Same. I would not be a fan of a Dabo hire..

Yall seen Arkansas play, I don’t know, ever?
My wife works in a hospital and told me the other day about a patient they were treating who had 2 roaches crawl out from his fat rolls.
Someone bookmark this so we can all laugh at me together when we make the Final 4 and our shooting is fine but I continue to be very worried about our shooting. Last year, we were 230th in the country in 3pt %, hitting 235 out of 706. 151 out of those 235 makes belong to people no longer on the team. How about transfers? We transferred in 0 career collegiate made 3 point baskets between Ewin and Pringle. And look, maybe Acuff and Thomas will be great shooters. Maybe DJ and Karter will really have grown year over year. But I’m concerned about it and really wish we would have brought in a sniper through the portal.

I know I had to tread carefully because all things considered it could be a lot worse but what does a guy gotta do to get a JJ touchdown? Hasn’t had one since Week 1

I’m afraid RL would be successful enough (7-8 wins) to hang around for 6+ years and further divide the fan base when we need to make a change.

If I’m honest, I’d take 7-8 wins per year. Win the games you are supposed to and be competitive otherwise. That would be a massive step up from the Pittman years.

The only thing that remains incomprehensible to me is that we didn’t address our lack of shooting. And it’s not like we didn’t have room on the roster (maybe NIL is another story but that’s a crying shame if so). Last year, we had 7 rotation players (8 including Boogie) and everyone, including Cal, talked about how that was sort of a failed experiment. This year we are looking at 8 once again. We absolutely had room to add a knockdown shooting wing and I hate that we didn’t.
