Just rode to the back of my property, the river has fallen tremendously. That should be very good news for downtown Covington, Boston street area.

I'm headed that way within the hour and will report back. I'm by Hannan High at the McDonalds now getting breakfast for the family.

As of this morning, they have not. I don't think they've been overtopped, yet either. At least not in the Dogwood area.

Latest crest predictions via WAFB. Have to believe some people are going to be hit hard with those numbers.

Some of the storm totals are mind blowing, several places set all-time monthly records in just a few days. It looks like the worst of the rain is over but a few locations in SE La could still pick up another couple of inches today.

I'm about a quarter mile north of Hannah on 1077. I woke up this morning to the water being about 10 feet away from the house. I went to sleep last night with the water only in the ditches. We are starting to move everything off of the ground bc the water is still rising

Apparently it is close enough, that area is under water. The gauges show it's 2 ft higher than 2012 and .5 ft lower than 83.

Oak street by campus should be good. Most of the flooding there was due to the city sewer backing up an not being able to handle the rainwater. Oak street is bad during a good thunderstorm. You should be okay. I'd stay out of town though. 190 is closed just east of town. It's bad over there.

I did a job over at SLU and every time we had a good rain, water would gush out of the manholes on Oak st. It's crazy.
