Old landing is for sure wet. Surprised 3 rivers rd isn't bad on that map. I've seen it completely full of water.

My roommate's parents' house backs up to the river in Del Oaks, and they said it is sorta high. Definitely not as high as it was for Isaac though. Has another 3 or 4ft to go before it gets to that level. Judging from what they described and where the water in the swamp usually is, the river right there is up about 6ft from normal

I now live outside of Folsom and got bombed today. The Bogue Falaya was higher than anyone in my area has ever seen it. Much higher. Areas flooded that "never flood".

Where outside of Folsom? We have a place up off of Graci Road that's on the river...

I just moved out here a few months ago and don't know my way around very well, so I'm not familiar with Graci Rd. I'm east of 25 and south of 40 in Chenel Farms. It was crazy here today.

Another record crest looks to fall, this time on the Comite, folks in Central should plan accordingly. This tops '01 & '83

It was 30 years ago that the Baton Rouge area experienced what is likely the worst flood in its history! On April 5-9, 1983 we were hit with 6 to 13 inches of rain from a slow-moving storm.

Where is that graphic from? I'd like to see what's forecasted north of Covington.

If it gets close to my buddy's parent's house, I'm sure we'll get the call to head up there. I'll update if it gets much worse

Looks like another 1-2 inches is modeled to be in store for SELA tomorrow morning.

Is there a Bogue Falaya gage north (upstream) of Boston St.? If I get six more feet of water tonight, I'm going to fricking drown.

It's from WWL online but wasn't a full map, just an image.

I planned on going hog hunting in Franklinton tomorrow, I'm seriously reconsidering. Think I would be able to get out if the river rises again?

This is from near Million Dollar Road. Looks like it's predicted to rise another 3 feet.

The convective nature of those storms is concerning, the high res version of that shows 5-7" in the area south of New Orleans. The theme from the model runs today is that some place has the potential to pickup 5-7" but will it be out in the Gulf or over areas that have already been hammered?

Thank you, RC. That's what I need to see. Million Dollar Rd isn't too far from where I'm at. Thanks for the info.

For whatever it's worth, the Tchefuncte River at Hwy 40 has just crested and is now falling. So my guess would be that as far upstream as you are, it's probably not getting much higher... unless of course there's more rain.

The water came up this morning and into the early afternoon, but has gone done about 3' this evening. I'm hoping I'm done with this. It was just a few inches from getting inside, so a 6' rise would screw me. 3' I can deal with.

The amount of water that the bogue falaya is pouring out is unbelievable. Friends called 911 and they were on a waiting list to be evacuated. Never flooded prior. Got evac'd via alum boat with kids. Crazy stuff. A kid drowned in penn mill lakes with the water today. Stay safe people.

It looks like the Tchefuncta is cresting much lower than projections:

It also looks like the Bogue is going to blow through the 19.5' projection
