I planned on going hog hunting in Franklinton tomorrow, I'm seriously reconsidering. Think I would be able to get out if the river rises again?

My grandparents told me about the great flood of '27 when they were children. This looks like that same kind of destruction. Sucks to see how bad it is.

Any one know if the red chute levees breached?

Your place on Gracie rd wouldn't happen to be the home on the very end of the rd would it? That home was one of my childhood homes.

The Bogue Falaya has continued to fall overnight in Chenel Farms. Hope you're okay on Graci Rd.

Anyone know what the situation is on Finks Hideaway, Bayou Oaks, Joe White Rd in Ouachita Ph.?
Posted on 3/12/16 at 6:33 am to XKEnut
Finks Hideaway was being sandbagged at bridge but passable yesterday evening. I think Joe white is ok, dont know about Bayou Oaks.

You would not believe the amount of water behind the houses on Finks Hideaway..almost up to the back of the houses_ looks really "odd".
Posted on 3/12/16 at 6:41 am to jeffsdad
I grew up in those parts and have been following on FB and from my family that all still reside in the area. I can't fathom the amount of water that is there and I was around during the 91 flood.

Tangi River is still rising. They are about to close 22 at the fire station by sand hill cemetery Rd.
