(Gray News) - Madonna scolded a fan for sitting down during her show Thursday in Los Angeles before realizing they were in a wheelchair.

The 65-year-old pop star performed at the Kia Forum during her “Celebration Tour” when she made the remark on Thursday, according to Daily Mail.

Madonna is heard saying in the TikTok video, “What are you doing sitting down over there? What are you getting sitting down?”

After calling out the fan, the ‘Vogue’ singer then stepped closer and discovered her mistake.

“Oh, OK. Politically incorrect. Sorry about that,” Madonna said. “I’m glad you are here.

The video made its way around social media garnering over 2 million views. The singer’s response sparked controversy with many people demanding she make it right for the concertgoer.

One TikTok user wrote, “I feel like she should have refunded that person’s ticket,”

“She did not apologize enough,” one user said.

Another used commented, “That is a sad apology! What the heck. Refund them their ticket!!”

The New York Post reported that the Celebration Tour has been running since October 2023 and concludes on April 26 in Mexico City.

I can't imagine spending that much on a ticket to be that close...only to be called out like that...unless handicapped areas aren't as expensive.

So you’re saying the handicapped person should be called out if they paid less for the handicap section?

I have 4 friends going to see her in a few weeks. All of them are liberal female Biden voters. That is who is paying to go to her shows.

Most amazing thing about this article is there are people still willing to pay money to see a 65 year old Madonna perform.

I remember when she was EVERYWHERE. I never liked her or her music. She's a shell now of her former self and a joke. I hope for the same for the Kardashians and T Swift- but I'll be long dead unfortunately when that happens.

Exactly. Why is this "news"? It was pretty harmless and she corrected her mistake immediately.

Performers work for the audience, not the other way around.
