LSU student is starting a Black Mental Health Hotline

Lambert says the 24-hour hotline will launch Aug. 1 and will be free and open to the public. She hopes it will serve as a chance to break negative stigmas rooted in Black communities about getting professional mental help.

Why would anyone think this is bad or make fun of it? If mentally unstable people feel more comfortable seeking help from people that they feel they can better relate to, then I consider that a good thing.
We love to bring up that we have a mental health problem, but now some are going to mock someone trying to help?

Welcome to the OT.
With that being said, mental health issues have consistently been swept under the rug in the AA community for a long time (because of racism btw), so this is an incredibly awesome thing these guys are doing.
