it's not the smoke shops fault it is LBJ's fault and legacy. Just wait till Joe Biden's legacy punches us in the throat.

It won't be. If you continue to point it out, one group will encourage someone to shoot you in front of your family, then they will openly celebrate your death while calling for your wife and kids to be killed next.

It’s really sad that our society has devolved to the point that this isn’t even an exaggeration in many cases.

It isn't at all.

Recent polls show that more than half of Democrat voters are OK with assassinating political opposition.

You just had a candidate in VA that openly stated he wanted to put bullets in the heads of his political opponent's kids in front of he and his wife before executing them as well.

In a recent debate, you had a black female republican ask the Dem candidate running for governor in VA to denounce the violent rhetoric, and she didn't answer. She just held back a smile while ignoring it.

Imagine any republican official saying something like this. It would be national news for months. He would be shamed to his basement. If a black female Dem candidate asked him to renounce it and all he did was smile, he would be dealt with. But nope.

Instead this happens and the usual idiots will tell you "both sides" are violent. Thus, no constructive debate can be had. Nothing changes.

Again, all by design.

This was my point. He is blaming the smoke shops and DJs and whatever other elements allow this behavior. Instead why not just outright say the problem? He identified his demographic and still can’t own the problem or the culture itself that allows the behavior.

Yesterday he and I both agreed we will not be back.

I completely understand, but this is how they win.

TY for the explanation. Please quit voting for the politicians that encourage this behavior as well as promoting leaders at LSU that want more of this to continue.

When will good black people stand up and do something about “YN” ruining neighborhoods and causing so much crime? Changing the way you vote would be a huge start.

It’s got to be terrifying to be a loving father with that element always lurking so close. I don’t know how to navigate those difficult pitfalls to keep your daughters safe but it sounds like you’re doing your best.

YNs

But these are created by absent fathers, entitled single Black mothers, and a society that refuses to implement conditions that challenge them to not engage in their behaviors.

I get what you’re saying: there’s an epidemic that is providing avenues for YNs to cause trouble in communities.

But why can’t we address the fact that they exist in the first place?

I do recognize systemic issues that create their experience in the world. But at some point, there needs to be a self-reflection from within the Black community to unpack why they exist and what enables them to ruin what should be positive experiences.

I took it as the culture problem is a bigger/longer issue that’s not getting solved in next 6 weeks.

Short term for the remaining 2 LSU home games that will be afternoon or night kickoffs LSU and BRPD need to control the offerings by the northgate vendors. Doing this with other measures will help dissuade those loitering from continuing to do so.

Thanks for the explanation on what's going on. I just emailed my state legislators to express my concerns about the gameday shootings. I urge everyone to do the same.

At a minimum, an increased law enforcement presence needs to be on the Highland corridor at the North Gates.

section 8 inhabitants

Section 8 is a blight on society and has single handedly destroyed more suburbs and communities than an invading army could ever hope to do. It’s an attack on people that have earned the means to move away from criminal elements by allowing those same criminals to follow into places they otherwise could not.

To the OP, the only way this changes is if the black community makes it change. White people can’t do anything without being labeled as racists and we don’t have the numbers to change the votes in these urban shitlholes.

The area was better before they tried to turn it into something it never will be, a hip upscale entertainment district on Highland Road.
