Love bugs...Anybody else have a million of them around your house?

Haven't seen any in the N.O. area. But I bet if I climb in the saddle of my motorcycle and take a day ride, they'll find me in a heartbeat.

I've been riding Kawasaki Nomads since 99. My current one is an 06 Nomad V-Twin, 5 speed, liquid cooled, shaft drive heavy cruiser. It came with hard saddlebags, a windshield and lowers, front and rear crash bars, front and rear floorboards and dual disc brakes on the front with single on the rear. Holds the road like it's on rails.

I was wrapped up with them a couple of weeks ago.
The front of my truck looked like it had been hit with birdshot.

Moved out to the country here in NWFL and they are everywhere. Much worse than we lived on the coast
We blow hundreds of dead ones off our porches 2x a day...
and they find their way into everything....
Not to mention the front of our vehicles....

I didn’t do this on purpose, but we have two dogs. We walk them pick up their shite put it in a grocery plastic bag and leave it outside of our trashcan until trash day. Fast forward a couple years.
That attracted flies, which attracted lizards. I have lizards, I have an incredible amount of lizards on my carport.
But I don’t have any insects. No mosquitoes no flies no love bugs…

We have an antique car get together and rally next weekend and I hope they are gone by then. Another coat of wax on the vehicle is on the to do list this coming week.
