re: 1x Prism Scope Purchase

I have a primary arms 1x prism on a 300 blackout that I use for deer and pigs. It's my favorite setup for anything under ~125 yards. The reticle is very small but once I shot a couple of mags through it, I really started enjoying it.

Thanks for the tips. Looks like I'll be adding quite a bit to my never-ending to-do list!

Dirt and debris inside plumbing

Posted by jm_1776 on 1/20/26 at 10:12 pm
The main water line coming to my house was broken on my neighbor's property on Monday night. They hired a company to repair it and the tech came to my house to bleed the line after the repair was made. This was at 8:00 pm.

I now have dirt and debris in the water and my washer and a toilet are no longer functioning correctly. I called the company to come out tomorrow (Wednesday) to address the issue.

Anybody have any experience with anything like this? Just trying to see what surprises or further issues I should expect with potentially more damage and what should I expect from the repair company.
If the government stopped paying them to literally do nothing other than vote for dims, and require them to be accountable and responsible for their life choices, the vast majority of them would no longer be "the dregs of society."
They would be at that point be functioning, contributing members of society rather than leaches.

Clerical errors happen but when things like this occur tens of thousands of times and across every government agency, it isn't an error, it's intentional. Why is it so hard for people to believe that the entire institution is and has been corrupt???
Every parent should read "The Anxious Generation" by Jonathan Haidt. I ask everyone I know if they've read it. Completely changed my thinking about the last 30 years. I am 44 with 3 kids from 3-15 years old.

What can be done? Everything. You, or me, or your neighbor can't save the world. But you can do good, or at least try to, every day for as long as you are still here. Do not despair, that is what evil wants. Just keep fighting. My brother asked me why should we fight? It all seems hopeless. I asked him, what's the alternative, to give up? Would you tell your kids to give up? No, you would tell them to fight as long as they could! So do that fight. Because there is no other choice!

When I saw he was behind the plate for this game I almost threw-up in my mouth.
I have a son and a daughter that play on competitive teams that play mostly on the weekends and we have parents like you on their teams. My advice to you is to just go and do whatever it is that you would rather be doing instead of "being there to show your support."

First off, for the others that actually enjoy being there, the constant whining is tiresome and pathetic. You're a grown up, or supposed to be, so act like it.

Most importantly, your kid knows you don't want to be there. So they either have to ignore the fact that their parent would rather be doing something other than being there or adopt the same attitude.

I understand that there is a huge commitment of time for these things, but you did sign up for it and could've played rec ball instead. And lastly, this stage of time for doing this type of thing is very temporary. Why not try and relish this time with your family?
Def termites. Little black ones, I think they're formosan.
Same for me. Pretty close to Greenwell Springs.

anybody else have termites swarming all of a sudden???
Trust your instincts and always over-communicate with them. They may not always like your reasons for why you do what you do but one day they'll understand.

I have a 14 and 11 year old and they have laptops for schoolwork and occasional browsing but not unfettered internet access. They also do not have screens in their room. My 14 got a phone last year but it has limitations and he only has access to it at certain times. We spend a lot of time together as a family and just remember that the time they would spend staring at a screen could be spent doing an infinite number of other things that are a better use of their time.

Raise your kids the way you want and tell the parents of other kids who may scoff at your parenting techniques to kiss your ash. You'll be glad you did.
sec umpires, much like their refs in football are just bad. I watch a lot of college baseball from all around the country and the sec has some of the worst. I guess officiating doesn't fall into the "it just means more" department.

Or you could accelerate recession by heightening inflation with stupid arse, tariffs, and firing cheap labor by sending all the immigrants back to their countries. That’s what this dumbass is doing. Y’all are lemmings…

So you believe the status quo from the prior administration is a better and more sustainable path moving forward? Constantly kicking the can down the road, printing and spending more money will only accelerate economic collapse. If the doge findings tell us anything, it's that the government has not only been spending recklessly, it is destroying our future through intentional theft.
I use this quote often when trying to explain to my bride why her mother is the way that she is.
