In addition to possible kickbacks she is motivated by a DEI mindset ie racism. Awarding contracts due to color of skin vs performance. Henry/Richards Disposal are minority owned businesses.

Look no further than the disaster that was Richard's Disposal a few years back. Garbage piling up across the city due to resource mismanagement. The extreme incompetence on continuous display should have been an automatic disqualifier here.

She is an awful person and a shitty mayor. This whole deal should be investigated. I wish Sidney Torres could be bothered to run. He could actually make a difference. He has improved the city in many ways with his crime initiative taskforce and an incredible cleaning/waste disposal business. But good people don't often enter politics sad to say. He's living large and happily in Eleuthera. I don't blame him.

Serious question: Does garbage describe the contract or the service to be provided by the contract?

I give Torres immense credit for recognizing that he lacks the skillset necessary to run a large city and instead chooses to throw his support behind someone who does.

Why is Henry Consulting even involved?

Because Troy Henry got the contract bc he's black...thats how these minority contracts work.

The minorities, women owned businesses etc......gets the contract and they hand it off to a legit contractor

You can bet your arse that Teedy is a silent partner in that Henry Consulting sham.

I have a feeling the FEDS are just waiting to gather more info for a solid case before they indict her.....I think they waiting for her to finish out her term and then raid her house and City Hall and heads will start to roll

This is the beginning of the end....the FEDS probably already got to him and he's starting to sing like a bird

New Orleans Chief Administrative Officer Gilbert Montaño resigns from city job

Word on the street was that Teedy was going to go to "work" in some capacity for Henry Consulting post term. Not sure if true, but just info that was shared.

IMO this is the root of the problem right here. The contracting party is just the straw man to get the contract. It's all a front.

Troy Henry is more politically connected than Alvin Richard

Also, Richard’s had a prior garbage contract with the city that was an actual nightmare.

Richard’s likely could not win a contract on their own.

Also 100 percent sure Henry has given / promised something to Teedy. Maybe a job perhaps?

Either all of these people are incredibly stupid or they know they're just untouchable.

The latter for sure. Why would Teedy think that anything will happen based on the things she’s already done with no consequences.

IV - $6.2M to IV
Henry $8.3M total - $6.2M to Richard’s for subpar service, $1.5M to Henry (consultant fee), $600k and future considerations to Teedy through some non-profit or other laundering scheme.

Usually any service provided to the City over $50K must undergo public bidding. Not sole source.
