You can use Tops at a trade school

You missed my point about what type of kid I’m talking about.. it’s most definitely not daddy’s money kids.

That's why the minimum ACT requirement needs to bump up to 25.

There should also be some penalty if you drop out for academic reasons.

We should probably pass a constitutional amendment to protect TOPS funding

Hell no. We need less protected funding so cuts can be made

Yep but there won't be a governor/legislature combo with enough balls in my lifetime to do it I don't think.....unless the state truly does hit financial rock bottom one day and even then I doubt it. We would probably just ask the federal government for a bail out.

It looks like we have a bunch of butt hurt geniuses in here that didn't qualify for Tops.

Cut spending, no new taxes.

This is a tax cut. There was a 1 cent sales tax that expired and they renewed a .45 cent tax. That is a cut of .55 cents.

This doesn't compute.

No, it was an expiration of a tax and then they enacted a new one for $.45.

Maybe it's because you didn't make a point about what type of kid you're talking about. The type of kid you were talking about was they type of kid that takes the money to go party at LSU. Kids who's parents have money accept TOPS and then flunk out of LSU.

Nobody missed the point you were trying to make. They just know that's not true.

For the sake of transparency though are you saying black students are the ones squandering TOPS? Especially considering how many of those students don't qualify off of GPA or ACT scores alone if we are actually be honest.

What kids are you talking about? I've seen and known many white idiots with and without money who screw around and waste TOPS.

There ain't a Democ-RAT in this universe that would do that and no Republican I've seen in this state in 20+ years has the balls to do it.

So in other words that ain't happening.

That's the same thing that every damn RINO that voted for this POS bill said to themselves I'm sure.

All I can say is the my district's rep (that I voted for BTW) didn't vote for this cluster....BUT there is only so much that the good people can do when they are the vast minority.
