Nuts almost the whole state of Texas is under a Winter Storm Warning.
I once drove across Texas. I kept asking myself “does this state fricking end?”. Of course, Mother Nature snaps her fingers and has a storm to cover the entire state just like that. She’s a bad bitch.

All those tree limbs weakened by the hurricanes last year and coated with ice will not be good for the electrical grid.

Bought a half cord of wood a couple of years ago and has been relatively mild the last 2 winters, have burned very little We will burn every piece we have between now and thursday and will re-supply for next season.

And Texas wasn't enough for her, so she threw in all of Oklahoma and Arkansas and parts of several other states to boot. She's a greedy one, for sure.

Sun came out a good hour or so. Hope that helped dry up some limbs and lines. The ground is surprisingly dry for how much it’s rained this week

which is looking worse - Lake Charles or Baton Rouge? Trying to decide to go to one or the other for the storm.
If you’re going somewhere why would you pick two places that could get it

I have a bet with a friend. I need just a single snowflake to fall in BR. What are my odds?

Does it have to be unique?

Not sure I can convince him with that.

That 1994 ice storm was no joke.
Power was out at my mom’s house in north Mississippi for a couple weeks. She and my stepdad went to his parents’ house. They let me go stay with my grandparents. They had gas space heaters and a gas stove, Coleman lanterns, and my granddad had a generator to run their fridge and freezer. I wish I was set up that well right now. Cleanup after that was a bitch. The pine trees were the first to go because ice collected on the needles.

Never thought I would see the day when we are litigating the classification of frozen precipitation.
