criticisms about their operations. Are they that efficient and does the city profit from their operations?

One of the most vicious I have ever seen.

Valdez was masterful.
Pitch selection looked better
Neither. Have decided that 200 years of 'no one wants me' has crushed the worldview. At the onset one's own people - no more than tribal in nature - captures and sells their own. Into a society of capitalism where one is no more than a commodity. Countless lives marred and lost over lives that are bought and sold like produce - freed and homes/communities destroyed and occupied.

Uneducated and unwanted but now free to move about with precious few assets. Laws eventually passed to re-isolate. Decades pass before reversed and some succeed - who mocked by their own -while others languish in generational disarray.

Belonging is an inherent need and we see Islam worm its way into the body. A hollow desire for one's 'roots' take hold. Generational disenfranchisement becomes reinforced and for many - a way of life

Young athletes have told us: I chose xyz because 'I felt the love'. Doc Rivers said it, 'we just want to be loved'. When one's core is so jagged there is no discernible shape affirmation is sought elsewhere...through things, accolades, gang associations and ideologies that teach hate.

My story and am sticking to it. Is quite sad as we have a people who 'have no place to call home much less there being no place like home'.
No debate from me as our priorities have been upside down for quite a while. We have 3 children and 10 grands and it is quite pleasing to see them being properly reared....middle class folks and values
That is what we do now. Facts are assumed and evidence/cause be damned.
Texas law. Unanticipated death, especially so young and presume healthy
Don't you know it and rightfully so in this circumstance. I don't believe I could have imagined as much ineptitude as I have witnessed. We have had zero problems from start to finish and I am upset about the circumstances
My fb feed was full of their propaganda just a few weeks ago - now - Crickets
They have been awfully quiet and allowing Abbott to take the hits. Their silence is guilt
North of Houston.

I reside 20 miles south of Oklahoma/Texas border - north, northwest of DFW and we were below freezing for seven consecutive days and have heard of no loss of life.

It was cold, no doubt, in Conroe but more frigid elsewhere. I cannot imagine 12 in a trailer or anywhere to stay in. Our garage didn't get that cold.
If you need to blame anybody try the Texas Legislature as they are ultimately responsible. Abbott, who I don't care for, is the face of the crisis but is pretty powerless as governorships go
Don't believe I ever did as I always saw my father as my father, not as a friend.
Student loans are excluded in matters of bankruptcy except in very rare instances.

Student loans should not be forgiven 'just because'

Student loans ought to be dismissable/forgiven if the borrowers were mislead by the educating body.

If true, the educating body operates under rules/regulations/oversight by the Department of Education. This authority, or failure to exert their authority makes it culpable to the affected loan borrowers.

There is a process for remediation as these loans are excluded from bankruptcy. The DJT administration, under Betsy Devos, did everything in its power to obstruct said remedies. At the 19th hour - after YEARS of delay - some 170,000 applications were summarily deemed unfounded with boilerplate reasons.

This matter is currently in litigation, of which we are a part, and hope for a favorable ruling.

My remedy would be: am responsible for 1/3rd of loan amount - school is responsible for 1/3rd of loan amount and the Education Department is responsible for 1/3rd of loan amount.

Persons such as us were duped and are following the only available remedy as established by Congress and the Department of Education.

Attorneys General have a responsibility to protect consumer rights and should direct their litigation to the companies which operate said colleges and to a lesser degree, the Education Department.
How about the Attorneys General doing their job and bringing litigation against those predatory outfits

Wife and I satisfied 115k in student loans, all public loans. The ED sat on our claim against CEC for predatory practices and then denied at the 19th hour. The ED had and has regulatory authority and did cite the college for numerous violations but chose not to convey to loan holders. In my opinion the ED is as culpable as the school as are the AsG who failed their consumer responsibility

ED is Education Department
CEC is Career Education Corporation

P.S. These loans are bankruptcy proof so the consumer is boxed
Kinda, sorta, maybe....maybe not
I absolutely despise winter weather. I would rather bake than contend with this silliness
10 consecutive days below freezing in the Falls....may hit 32 degrees tomorrow. If not, Saturday.

Next Tuesday to be 70 degrees.
