One of my cousins will be interviewing with Sarasonic in the coming months. They will find people. There's a lot of people in that area with marine/shipbuilding experience. A lot of O&G baws who are sick of driving to Midland every 2 weeks will probably take a look at working there. Broussard and Youngsville is only a 30ish minute to commute there.
I would have built it in the Port of Iberia but from what I hear there was a facility in Franklin that was vacant and fit their needs.
It will bring a much needed boost to the marine industry in that area which was mostly dedicated to building offshore platforms.

A residential developer tried buying some family property in Donaldsonville after the Hyundai plant was announced, but the deal fell through. They were trying to get the location annexed into the city for tax purposes and everything.
So yes, the big money believes they can bring residents to Donaldsonville, and some people with big money were willing to bet on it until the deal collapsed.
