Hospitalizations have been flat in BR and NO. Most growth has been in Lafayette and Sw Louisiana. Shreveport has leveled but is high. Lafayette and Shreveport each have about as many hospitalizations as BR and NO combined.

From the LDH dashboard on the numbers:
Goes back to electronic reporting and positive tests having to be immediately reported, which can drive percent positive numbers.
This one in regards to their percent positive stat is a bit confusing:
Does this sound to anyone else as though percent positive is somehow date corrected?
Edit to add:
It seems that caveat about percent positive relates to the specific graph charting percent positive, which is indeed back dated.

From what I understand most people
In the vents for as long as COVID-19 has required have to be sedated for long stretches of time. The sedation is what puts them into addiction.

Every single positive is counted as a new case. Even if the same person tests 5 or 6 times before getting the 2 negatives they need to return to work.
