I’m not ashamed to say I’ve been hitting the refresh button since 11:57 looking for this thread

ETA
Also, we dropped 700 cases in a day! This is great? The curve has inflected!

JBE gonna be mad.

That said, I'm still not super worried. Lafayette General & Lourdes put out a joint video -- talked about how the floors have covid patients and not so much the icu (that's a good thing) and that not everyone who has been exposed needs a test.

Sigh. It's gonna be a long while before normal is anywhere close to being back.

How many of those positives are the same person? I think deaths and hospitalizations are the most important factors here

And vents. We are in no trouble right now as far as vents go. We could handle 6x as many easily

And that's with 15,000 tests. But headline will just read: 1,300 NEW COVID CASES AS SURGE CONTINUES

Doctors are doing everything possible to not put people on vents because as I’ve heard it, a vent with this disease is either a death sentence or an opioid addiction

why do they make such a point of 39% of positives were under 29? especially since 50% of population is under 30?

I think part of hospitization being up is due to hospital ER's seeing more patients for other illnesses. It so happen that they're covid positive too.
