Why does your chart only go to March 31?
ETA: There we go. Thanks.

So increase of 60 deaths, increase of 28 on vents and increase of 68 hospitalized.
Also increase of 1147 positive cases from tests dating who knows when and some could be better at this time.

DD are you coming up with your own projections or are those from another source? Just curious.
Also while cases could be from a back log, how real time do you think that hospitalizations, vents and death numbers are? Truly since yesterday numbers at noon?

This batch of tests from the past couple of days has to be from very early on when testing was even more strict than it is right now.
Hopefully.
Hopefully.

Do you refresh the LDH site every day around 12 so you can update your spreadsheet and be first?

Anyone with knowledge have a hypothesis as to why the hospitalization and ventilator numbers seem to be coming down? Is treatment working? Seems to me if those numbers continue to decline and this is something easily treatable it could lead to an earlier getting back to normal.

deaths went from doubling every 2 days last week to doubling every 5 days this week
also neither hospitalizations nor vents are growing exponentially
I'll take that trend

LA Leading Causes of Death, 2017 Deaths Rate*** State Rank* U.S. Rate**
1. Heart Disease 11,260 214.4 5th 165.0
2. Cancer 9,513 174.9 5th 152.5
3. Accidents 2,780 58.8 14th (tie) 49.4
4. Chronic Lower Respiratory Disease 2,467 46.6 19th 40.9
5. Stroke 2,460 47.4 3rd 37.6
6. Alzheimer’s disease 2,188 43.7 7th 31.0
7. Diabetes 1,272 23.9 14th (tie) 21.5
8. Septicemia 1,080 20.4 1st 10.6
9. Kidney Disease 1,076 20.6 2nd 13.0
10. Flu/Pneumonia 785 15.1 19th 14.3
After all is said and done, I want to see the trend of these deaths over the years without placing the Coronavirus deaths into the separate categories of their underlying condition. I would really like to see how our normal cancer, heart disease, respiratory deaths, etc rates are currently through this whole ordeal.

I am not knocking it. Just curious because he has his thread up like 30 seconds after the LDH site is updated.

Terrebonne Parish reported 8 deaths all at once that they had been sitting on for a few days, so these #’s aren’t 100% accurate

For reference, what are the projections based off of?

Pretty sure those were the expected numbers we were given by JBE a few weeks ago when we were going to "keep up with Italy"
