A lot of police departments need to look long and hard at each of their officers and truly ask themselves if they're someone they want representing them. The time for good law enforcement officers is so important now more than ever.

They are very low paying jobs with high turnover. They are training warm bodies at this point.
Many of our State Troopers have criminal justice or similar degrees and make an honest rate. You rarely hear of them misbehaving.

Kaplan Police Dept. is hardly a litmus test for the hiring process of most police departments. For the most part, small departments are scraping the bottom of the barrel after larger departments take the quality guys. Hell they prolly make minimum wage.

Couple things here.
Everyone wants to complain for officers but until you pay them quality pay and want educated officers, there will never be a fix. For what officers deal with, a college educated one is gonna be a well paying job.
Also, attempting to control social media posts is gonna create fake profiles or the lack of people wanting to get hired.
