There’s countless Louisiana loathing threads. Not very many appreciation threads. Aside from the obvious food and sports, I’ll start.

I appreciate the contrast in cultures that make up the overall culture of the state. There’s just so many subcultures within the state from corner to corner. This sort of deters the transplants from coming in and ruining things. It is a what you see is what you get approach. Take it or leave it. Very unlike many other states.

There’s a lot of great people in Louisiana. Everyone has a familiar vibe to them. Whether it’s rural Louisiana or urban Louisiana. You always seem to find someone that you feel like you’ve known forever and you’re comfortable being around.

What do yall have?

I'm not from here originally.

Native Louisianians don't appreciate how truly beautiful the state is.

It's where most of my friends and family live.

I live a lifestyle in Lafayette that would probably be comparable to most upper middle class lifestyles across the country, minus topographically related activities (mountains, beaches, etc...).

That's about all I got

Louisiana kids don't go crazy in college by burning couches and shite because they're already used to drinking grain alcohol up their butts and smoking water before they leave the nest. So they make a more responsible college student.

Lived in 4 different states. Not from La. but got my college education at LSU. Best people, best food, best party city (Nola), and the worst roads.

We are the only state that starts with L, so when I type in L in a "what state do you live in" box on the computer it autogenerates Louisiana. We got that going for us I guess.

That is definitely what makes people not want to move here. Not the terrible economy, corrupt government, tops-in-the-nation crime, or the horrible weather.

We just know how to enjoy life more than folks in other areas. That’s why people come here in droves for vacation.

Ive lived in other states. There is an energy to the people and the culture that is absent in other places. The outdoors experience is second to none.

Outside of Orleans parish north Baton Rouge and Shreveport. I enjoy a lot about what Louisiana has to offer.

I just wish there was more start up opportunities for college kids and young families.

This is true. The dense forests, lakes, rivers, bayous, coast and wetlands are amazing. Every person I bring down from other regions is amazed at the beauty.

It’s such a green state overall. Even compared to majority of Tx. It’s not all flat either. There’s some decent hills in cenLa, NWLA and North LA.
