Hand up. Spirit's low prices bailed me out a few times, compared to the major carriers, when I procrastinated and needed a same day or next day flight somewhere.
When that happened and that $91 last minute cross-country red eye one-way came through (and Southwest was $650), the boarding and flying process always felt like I was being taught a rightful lesson/punished to do more advance planning next time.
In my life, I have never felt more guilty of "white privilege" then upgrading to Big Front Seat with Priority Boarding for $60 and having to be mean mugged by dozens of people that boarded after like I discovered some secret hack that was given only to me because I downloaded the Spirit App in advance and saw the upgrade option.
Just a good reminder, as always, don't ever hoard Loyalty/Frequent Flyer Points. Use them when you earned enough for a reward or one day they'll just magically disappear.

Clearly racist.

I did the same thing on a recent trip to Vegas on Breeze. I paid about 320 round trip and sat in the extra legroom seats paid for the upgrade at booking 60 bucks plus a 90 dollar fare. On my flight if you pick the first row of the extra legroom seats the large seats in front of you are pretty far up. So you get even more legroom. You also have priority boarding. Now if you do spring for the ultimate upgrade which was bout 120, you sit in the extra large 1st Classish seats in the front and get unlimited free drinks and snacks.

Poor Breeze, their flights are about to get a lot more cultural and rude.

Not good, the rifraf will get closer to my airlines

I usually use spirit and frontier. I can care less about sitting in comfortable seats for two hours. I can handle the zoo for two hours.

Some family friends have DVC points and season passes. They would fly out Thursday night on spirit, do park days Friday thru Sunday, then fly back Sunday night. Carry on only, the family could fly for like $350. With points and stuff sometimes it was under $300.
If you can truly pack light, there are ways to really game the system if you just want to get where you’re going.

Good riddance. Screw them and every “ultra low cost airline” and their hidden fees, extreme delays, and general incompetence

I’m surprised that they didn’t charge folks $17.00 to be able to read this tweet:

This is why I always crack up when Political talk roots for the failure of cities.
So you want the people in those cities moving closer to you?

Every "ultra low cost" airline keeps prices down on legacy airlines.
Stupid to celebrate this, bad news...Plane tickets on Spirits old routes fixin to skyrocket
Only people who should celebrate this are major investors in United, American etc

The young Airbus fleet of Spirit will be back in the air within a month.

Wrong. After the hidden fees for spirit, it’s only like $50 more to fly delta or a reputable airline

I’ve done round trip Msy - Mco with just a backpack for less than $100.
Great for me, but no way the airline was making money.
