Skenes should use this as leverage when the yankees try to get him as a free agent

I think I know the building (85th or 88th St IIRC) Apartments would probably be in the 1500 - 1700 Sq ft range. Older place. Probably has not been updated since the 70s or 80s. Someone mentioned boomers or early GenX types.....not many young types and if memory serves, a lot of literary and older artsy types who have lived there for 25/30 years as a whole.

Co-Ops are like Condo Associations down in South FL....only worse.

It ain't personal. Celebrities come with attention by definition. Having paparazzi outside their building isn't something laid back people want to deal with.

He won’t be a free agent. He will get traded. Pittsburgh is dumb but not that irresponsible

Yes, they are famous but in NYC I doubt people really care that much. It's not like Bradley Cooper or Leo in the building, hounded by paparazzi.

Now, if PS was a Yankee -- different story. When that happens, they will have much bigger digs.

They're basically the equivalent of an HOA

Just one of the many reasons it's so unappealing.

have you ever been to Manhattan? You sound just like my dad before he went and after he completely changed his tune. Sure I wouldnt want to raise a family there or anything of the sorts but as a young single or young married couple......its the best city in the world if you like to do city things

sure if you only like to hunt and fish...prolly not your thing. But it might as a shock to you....but some people like doing city things.

That’s BS.

Old white folks can be really sad.

I highly doubt they were gonna tear up the place. If anything, it would have gotten some legit social media appreciation and views. Kind of like if they would have bought a historic home

Why would Skenes want an NYC apartment as a Pittsburgh player?

Some of you guys pay zero attention to MLB and it shows.

Most athletes want to play for the yankees. Hey get the most money and player for the greatest franchise. Eventually, Paul is going to wind up in NY. Makes sense for them to get a place now for when he leaves the Pirates for the Yankees.

Not if those pricks keep stopping him from purchasing a home there.

Would you really do that? Kind of weird in my opinion. I don't think people should be able to vote on who becomes their neighbors if they meet the financial requirements, age, and their criminal backgrounds are clean. But that's just me.

It’s for when he signs a $750 m deal with the Yankees.
