What bothers me is the way Ard handled the whole 2013 incident with the BRPD officer. Officer from another department comes in and talks to the Sheriff about a possible inappropriate incident with his minor step daughter. Sheriff Ard says yesterday

The stepdad who is a police officer came forward for his wife. I would think that would be enough?

WAFB is like a Pit Bull with a baby in its mouth. They aren't going to let go of Ard until he resigns or gets indicted.

Just listened to the podcast.

So Ard closed by saying that he wishes he could predict human behavior because he would have a crime free community, but he cant predict that; yet he ignored the expert who predicted Perkins' "HIGH RISK" behavior and vouched for him to get hired with LPSO.

He didn't ignore it. He didn't write it down, therefore it never happened.

He should, but you don't realize the implications if that happens. My prediction is that he'll stay, amid mounting pressure from everyone from the top down, but there will be more arrests inside the agency.

The smart Jason Ard retires, apologizes for mishandling this, takes his 6 figure retirement and moves out to Mississippi and enjoys the rest of his days funded by taxpayers and his 28 years of work.

But we all know after watching that disaster yesterday, the smart Jason Ard doesn't exist.

i been saying it all week. there isn't any way on this earth, shy of ard being on camera AT the perkins', that he's resigning. IF and that's a big IF hes ousted, they will have to pry him from that sheriffs position.

The biggest thing I have learned about Ard in the last 30 hours is he is a complete mess in front of the camera. He has no idea what he is actually saying.

I've heard this same thing about other incidents and situations at LPSO. Basically, do as you please, but if you get caught, I'm ignorant and you're fired.
