however, i will guarantee you Ard and MANY others knew of terrible, likely illegal, behavior of Perkins and covered it up
This
I don’t think anyone knew how f’ing throwed he is
I’m going to say I’m 99.9% sure he’s said & done things with women he’s pulled over in exchange for not being ticketed
He’s a predator, but no one knew it was so extreme

I guarantee you that dude isn't sleeping well since the arrest and I agree, no way to recover from this.
Nope
He is going to lose everything covering for his boy
Not sure if she still does but his wife works for LPSO too, not likely she stays without him
Brother too (if he still works there)
They are fricked unless he can wiggle his way out of it

Wasn't this dude caught on video planting drugs at a scene? Weren't there multiple complaints about him planting drugs on people? None of his co-workers had a problem with that??

Of course they didn't have a problem with his actions. They boys. Brothers. Comrades. Unfortunately, their weakest link just snapped and he's got nothing to lose at this point.

Yes & that whole story is so confusing I don’t know where to start

It seems to me that the growth of LP is basically like shining a spotlight and spraying disinfectant on who these people are and what their arrangements are. They can’t hide from scrutiny at this point. LP has been amazingly corrupt my entire life. A lot of that old Klucker culture has survived a lot longer than it should have. Time to give that parish an enema.

Of course Ard didn’t know they were doing it
This was overlooked by a lot of people when it happened, dude didn’t pay his taxes, oh well
Now it shows what they will do to someone going against them
Which sucks because I know 2 of the guys & always felt like they were good cops

Walter Ray "Beau 22" Wesley, an independent from Watson, was disqualified by a 21st Judicial District court judge last week for failing to pay taxes over the last five years.
The group of 12 plaintiffs who filed the lawsuit against Wesley aiming to disqualify him from the race all work for the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office in a range of capacities, from deputies to higher-level administrators.
A series of exhibits filed in the civil case against Wesley show the group filed a public records request with the Louisiana Department of Revenue to find individual income tax returns for Wesley, but a records custodian responded on Aug. 12 saying that income tax returns for years 2014 through 2018 could not be confirmed.

the sad part is that the vast majority of this state is LP before the influx and so much worse b/c there is no hope of any population shift

I’m not too familiar with Livingston Parish, but your post reminds me a lot of Mandeville and the Northshore/St Tammany .. when i lived there in the 90s, it was still in some ways a small town, sleepy suburb.. now that it’s basically it’s own metro area, the police dept corruption you could get away with 30 years ago is being held accountable, the sheriff (Strain?) is facing jail time and the good old boys are more scrutinized.

I bet Nakamoto has something to play tomorrow. I bet he’s got a photo or document. No way he’s going in empty handed.

You’re out your mind if you think ard resigns.

You are all over LP for their alleged good ol boy stuff but downplay someone not paying taxes??
I'd have been in line to disqualify the tax shirker too.

I think the fact his deputies filed the suit is the issue. Just like the ants protecting the queen. The whole department needs to tumble like dominoes. They are all complacent if they back Ard.

Sarcasm Baw
Dude should have paid his taxes & had his shite in order before he ran for public office
I was making the point (or trying to) that a group of deputies did it, not Ard, not the Secretary of State or whoever handles candidate qualifications
Shows they are willing to take matters in their own hands to keep the powers that be in place
This one was on the up & up but makes you wonder with the last candidate saying meth was planted on him

I think you are right. Sheriffs have a ton of power and don't really have to answer to anyone except the voters every four years. It takes more than an embarrassing situation to get them to resign. Until Ard is proven guilty of something, I would think he stays put trying to weather the storm.

I just watched the entire Nakamoto interview. Ard put his friendship with Perkins ahead of the well-being of the child of a BRPD officer. Then Ard lied to cover it up and got caught. He even tried unsuccessfully to throw the State Police under the bus. There is no way on earth this ends well.

While incredibly creepy he did nothing illegal or inappropriate
I wouldn’t stand for it but I’m thinking they couldn’t fire him for it??
quote:
"I went to Livingston and sat in his office and told him no laws were broken but it was inappropriate," Webb recalled. "Highly inappropriate. Told him I didn't want Denny Perkins anywhere around my family, stepdaughter or wife."
quote:
Webb also went to the State Inspector General. A former employee there confirmed that meeting and the allegations that were brought to them. Parish and state law agents have said they found no wrongdoing, and do not appear to have taken any extra steps.
