It’s actually helpful as you get older and your kids/family are all over the place.
Just establish your hotspots up front. For instance, my wife thinks Chicas Locas is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Houston.

We have it, kids are all over the place, when we got it my wife was in home health sales and was all over the place too. It's nice to be able to know where everyone is or if something is wrong.
You have to not care if someone knows where you are 24/7. I've been "busted' several times on trivial things that I would have normally gone under the radar. Nothing malicious, but let's just say it makes shopping for people more difficult.
The biggest bonus is I coach several of my kids sports teams, if my wife gets there and is trying to find what field we are on or something and I don't answer she just pulls it up and finds me.

We have for the kids which is good, but, I don’t enable it for myself. I’m not broadcasting every move I make every second of my life. (even though I know the iPhone does this inside itself way)

But but it’s helpful to know the wife and kids made it home safely and stuff

No. I've not added it and won't. Families who do have weak children well into adulthood.

I have 2 teen kids and we don't have Life 360. If I want to know where they are I can pull up Find My Phone, but that is very rare.
My parent's didn't check up on me when I was 15, and my kids haven't given me any reason to follow up on them. I know people who get an alert on their phone every time their kid leaves the house. frick all that, you are doing your kids no favors by treating them like that.

The amount of Gen X grown men in this thread spewing ‘for the peace of mind’ is insane to me. Hook. Line. Sinker
Self reliance, problem solving, comfort with uncertainty has been traded in for, reduced independence, anxiety, and loss of personal privacy.
Seeing a dot on a phone doesn’t stop a car accident or car jacking. The ‘peace of mind’ monitoring doesn’t reduce the risk. If anything it creates a false sense of safety. How about teaching your young adult situational awareness, navigation skills, judgement, actual emergency planning.

Oh, it's so awesome and so much different than Find My iPhone. And bonus, your kids stop telling you where they are or where they're going, because they assume you are watching which room they're in at their friend's house all the time.
And bonus, your wife gets to harass you, "I thought you said you were only going to the grocery, why are you at Lowe's?"
And it's not like cars with connected phones don't call 911 with things like 911 Assist anyway.
Life360 is a brilliant marketing job for over anxious women that will be studied in business schools for decades to come.

"back in my day..." we didn't even have cell phones. You just drove somewhere. Get in a wreck? well, my parents taught me how to trade insurance information and to wait on the police. Sure, a few cars disappeared into ponds to only be found 20+ years later by a drone. big deal. It was at least still America.

My oldest will be 24 and we still have Life360 on her

It’s ready made to play on a women’s psyche needing false sense of security. But i expected red blooded American men to have more respect for the life fundamentals they were afforded as yutes.

It’s very helpful for when I need to rub one out and I can see where everyone is and know how long I will have the house to myself.

Your phone, whether you have Life360 or not, can already be tracked at all times.

It's worth it. Found phones and my daughter had a wreck and it notified us. The real question for families tbat dont have it, why not?
Unless your doing shite you are hiding then you definitely should have it

As the parent of a teenage daughter who’s now driving, it gives me peace of mind knowing she’s made it to where she’s going and not in a ditch somewhere.
I feel like this mentality just adds to the codependency a lot of parents have with their kids, even into adulthood, but I understand the concerns.
