Of the ketchup they sell in stores, I prefer Heinz. However, I love no name "fancy ketchup" in packets.

Burman's steak sauce from Aldi. A 3rd or less of the price of A-1 and after four (myself and 3 friends) straight up taste tests, it is better than A1. Tastes the same but with a slightly bolder flavor

IBC root beer even still exist? Haven’t seen that in a long time I used to love it.

We still have a frostop restaurant and a pasquales pizza in Greenville. They share a building. Both are one of only about a dozen remaining restaurants of the once popular 2 chains

If you’ve never worn wrangler khaki pants from Walmart, it feels like you’re walking around in pajamas. A buddy suggested them a few years ago, and I laughed. Bought a pair thinking id just wear them around the hunting camp, and now I won’t wear anything else.

I’ll hazard that this makes weddings and baptisms awkward for others around you, with you only wearing pants?

A lot of Publix store brand products are better than the brand name items.

Also, the Uniball Signo is better than the Pilot G2

I like the Uniball so much more, I never would have guessed that the Pilot G2 is the more popular brand.

I like great value tater tots over Ore-Ida. The fancy brand has some kind of seasoning that changes the taste just enough to notice that I don’t like.

I prefer almost any store brand of ripple potato chips over Lays or Ruffles. Tighter ridges.

And absolutely no problem with store brand milk over local name brands.

I agree.

From HoHW:
Tanner Howard : Are you trying to make me mad? I said Dr. Pepper, this is Mr. Pibb.
Toby Howard : That's all they had.
Tanner Howard : Only assholes drink Mr. Pibb.
Toby Howard : Drink up.

We still have a frostop restaurant

Was a Frostop in Laplace(before Ida), and one in BR. Thankfully, you can purchase bottled Frostop RB at most ACE Hardware stores…

Tabasco isn’t in my top three. Crystal, Louisiana, Cholula, even Old Bay top Tabasco, IMO.

Walmart tortilla chips are really good. They are less than a dollar a bag. The lime flavor and salsa/garlic are a must at my house.

Brookshire’s has really good potato chips. The bbq are better than lays to me. And kettle cooke are too. They’ve got the $3 bags on sale for a dollar this week.

Frostop in Laplace is the oldest surviving one and still looks like a frostop drive in.

One here is just in a building it’s not a drive in. Has great burgers though. Pasquales is awesome too. Dunno why they failed as chains. Ones left existing are independent ones they aren’t corporate franchise supported anymore

ETA Belzoni has the last remaining Western Auto Parts
