re: Anybody here ever been shot?

Had a friend in high school get shot in the leg after trying to sneak into a girl’s bedroom window (she knew, her dad didn’t).

.22 rifle bullet went through the middle of back of his thigh and came out about an inch above his knee. Said it felt like a wasp sting at first, but hurt like hell a few minutes later.

Dude poured rubbing alcohol on it and wrapped in an Ace bandage and showed up at school the next day walking with a limp.

I am. I will definitely check that out.
I see you and your blueberry pie recommendation. As my dad used to say, “You ain’t gotta tell me twicet.”

Will definitely have some pie.

Got a favorite pie spot?
Did not know that. Thanks for the heads up. Now I have hope!
Awesome. Thanks for the detailed response and ideas!
Yeah, those Cadillac mountain passes sold out months ago. Definitely going to Acadia though. Thanks!

Bar Harbor, Maine - any suggestions?

Wife and I are headed to Bar Harbor next week. Planning to do a whale watching cruise.

Anybody have any suggestions for anything else to check out while there?
The one where my dad’s friend’s brother-in-law bought a new Ford truck and was getting 80 mpg. After about a month, some dudes in suits show up and offer to buy it back or swap it out for a higher-end model. Wasn’t supposed to be sold - somehow an “experimental engine” made it into a production vehicle and was sold by mistake. Said person refused the deal. Within a week, his truck was stolen.
…or am I late to the party?

Cuz, you know, it was just a big “nothing-burger rainstorm” and the over-priced babysitters are just sitting at home cashing checks.

Am I doing it right?
There it is. Was waiting on this pic. Bingo card check!
No kidding!

Has Punta Cana been mentioned already? I missed it
I picked up a random rock in the Bogue Chitto when I was 11 years old because it looked cool. Turned it over and there was a face carved into it. Some kind of Native American thing. Still have it.
Roswell, NM to Baton Rouge. One star. Do not recommend.
Bought a Henson AL13 about 6 weeks ago. Love it. Will never go back to cartridge razors. Ordered a sample of 15 different kids of refill blades from Amazon for $10. Highly recommended.

No such thing as balance. You have priorities. That’s it. Different seasons of life demand different priorities, but chasing “balance” is pointless. Decide on your priorities and live accordingly.
How about a quality pocket knife? Something suitable for EDC? Lot of options out there.
