Why do you want government able to know everything detail of your financial life?
Unless you’re not filing taxes, the government knows just as much about you as they know about my ApplePay-using arse.

So you want government regulating business even more?
If you dont like a cashless business then dont give them business
i believe the covid times completely wrecked this "it's a private company bro" bullshite line of reasoning.

Cash needed to be banned at stadium concessions, the amount of theft was off the charts(cashiers not ringing up items, pocketing cash)
You could still do this very easily. Only accept the cash when no change is needed

You don’t even need to do that, simply open the drawer and give back correct change. Remove excess cash at end of shift so everything balanced
Cash at stadiums will never work due to the type of people working those kiosks and the costs required to monitor them

It's a huge pain in the arse to accept cash for some types of businesses. It also opens said business up to having to deal with employee theft, counterfeit currency, etc.

You can't use cash on the cruise ship when you're ordering things, but you can settle with cash at the end of the cruise. I just did it.

Like the gay cake thing. Don't use the business.
