I’ve watched this entire series. I believe it. Maybe there are groups without the issues, but I think you’d have to be naive not to see what’s gone on. The purpose is control and money.

Spot on...they think it's cool and edgy to try to lump all religions together and by doing it, in ways, espouse their own religion in the process. A goodly portion of this type subscribe to earth worship yet claim to be sans religion.
That's fine, I'll keep my faith because at the end of the day those who reject religion have no hope beyond assuming room temperature. But not all is lost for them, while here they have their derogatory one liners, self-importance, and a bunch of their pals to pat them on the back and tell them how enlightened they are.

Not necessarily true. Maybe they, too, hope for meaning, but also decry those who have a long track record of profiting from the fact that all humans are insecure about death and the fact that there is no way to know what happens when we meet our end.

I'm not saying Scientology has not done horrible things, but the real lesson here is, don't piss off a woman as bad as the Church of Scientology pissed off Leah Remini.
