New show on A&E.

Anybody know a JW? These are the saddest people I have ever seen.

Watching this... took me a few to figure out. I suppose it’s ok, until she gets to my dogma.

So is she now becoming a militant super atheist?

Jehovah's Witnesses have the courage and conviction to knock on the doors of strangers to try and talk with them about their faith. I fundamentally disagree with what they preach, but I respect the hell out of their commitment.

4th grade in 1980 was the first time I experienced what you snowflakes now call a Kaepernick. JW's never stood for pledge or morning prayer. We used to look at one poor boy who wasn't all that bad of a classmate but he sat through everything. Was was it was and strangely we all survived.

funny timing, i was just telling my wife(no pics) that we have a new guy at work that told me today he scheduled appointments with clients all next Wednesday and Thursday.

i asked WTF for, and he was confused. i told him it was Thanksgiving and he didnt see the big deal. Told me he was Jehovah's witness and they never celebrated.

I told him that doesnt mean they dont. What a weirdo

I never understood how she got as far as she did in Hollywood. Not that cute annoying voice not very endearing

Their beliefs are a little weird but to lump them in with Scientologists is just plain dishonest

She's obviously easily manipulated because she's looking for something so I can see her being one of those atheists that treats it as it's own religion

I've always had sympathy for their position on the Pledge of Allegiance violating the First Commandment.

Kinda same thing here. Went to school with a girl who’s family wouldn’t allow her to take part in anything to do with Halloween. She’d always stay home that day. Not sure which “religion” it was

No doubt. Like you said, it takes balls to be those people and they generally don't hurt anyone so I don't have any beef with them.

They knock on our door a few times per year. I'm friendly to them and tell them that I'll take their literature. They are always pleasant. I don't get the hate.

I'm learning something I didn't know. They use "disfellowshipping" like Scientologists and Mormons..... get out of line and you are shunned. Doesn't matter if it's your sibling or your parent or your child. You are required to cut off contact.

That's fricked up, and is totally characteristic of a cult.

While true, they don't typically go after you like Scientologists do. That's a huge difference. Don't the Amish do this as well?

Exactly what I was thinking, except it misses the payoff line of her yelling “frick you nagger!” to Ice after he shuts the door on them.

Wasn't she on Saved By the Bell one year. Also I thought she was against Scientology. Are JW's related to them. If not what have they done to piss her off other than not celebrate X-mas?
