If it wasn’t for that whole sea level situation New Orleans would have made out pretty well.
That’s one hell of a qualification
Kind of like saying if Baton Rouge had 12,000 ft mountains we could have a ski resort.

I remember going to BSL three years after Katrina and it was still an absolute disaster. The bridge was still out and the casino boat was till pushed up against the shore.

Cameron lost power already. Damn.

49 to 190 is inconvenient but not an unreasonable alternative I suppose.
Imagine leaving Lake Charles at the last minute and they won't let you get on the basin bridge 90 minutes away because of flooding.

Look guys, if not saving all these lives saves one life...it will have been worth it.
Covid is this only thing that matters if you die from it. Every other death doesn't matter.

You would think that the power company would have cut power into south Cameron at some point. Maybe that was it.

Seems like the silly Covid restrictions would be thrown out the window. I'd think that danger of imminent death takes precedence over feel bad for a couple of weeks.
I saw an interview the other day with the whoever is overseeing the national guard rescue response out of Lafayette, he basically said, “yeah, when it’s life or death situation, we’re not really worried about covid”

They just want to get to count more deaths as COVID deaths.

So, what time do I tune in to see Cantore hanging onto a pole for dear life?
Stephanie A has been in LC for a few days. I bet she already picked out a good pole, or two.

Power just went out in Cameron.
Yep, saw the nest video. And still 3 hours away from landfall. Cannot believe people didn’t evacuate.

He’s trying to make “fetch” happen. “Fetch” is never going to happen.
