Saltwater Barrier.

Good two feet over the record.

Until March I lived in that highland forest subdivision off of Mims right next to salt water barrier. Ike got it high, but that was was only at an 11 I believe. 15'6" is fricking nuts and possible could get in my old house.

Hurricane Barry was projected to top the levees in New Orleans and break the 2016 flood record on the Amite River. You can't trust pre-storm river projections for a hill of beans. They're trying to get people out.

Dr. Neil Franks mentioned a formula for approximating overall rainfall amounts. He said to take the forward motion of the storm and divide it into 100.

Ex.

100 ÷ 16[mph] = 6.25[inches]

I don't know anything about this area other than passing through LC

Is there a fair amount of residential development toward the lake/coast or not really?

Is there an app to access his live cams or is it through website only?

I think it is through the website only. I don't think he has an app up and running yet.

I haven't joined yet, but I've just about decided to. You can always cancel after this storm or after hurricane season, too.

Yes, the cam dashboard appears to work on mobile.

Wonder how they feel about that investment right now.

Bet there are some folks in Graywood thinking the same thing.

I mean, you have to be puckering a bit if you live in Galveston/Beaumont, right?

I know it's supposed to turn, but got-damn would that have me nervous.

I think new Iberia will be ok. I saw a map saying 60mph winds. I don’t understand surge very well, so i don’t know about that.

Didn't Harvey approach around 2mph? That'd be 50inches of rain.
