Common from 210 to McNeese just turned green on Entergy within the last little while. Can anyone confirm if it actually has power? If not I'll be making another trip back down tomorrow or Monday.

In LC back at my house. I live between Ryan and Common about a mile south of 210, can confirm power has been restored. For now at least.

Yep. Did my best to track porch lights and looks like power is restored as far south as Gayle as I didn’t see anything past that. Only lights I noticed East of Common were on Gayle right next to the fire station. Power crews by frat houses. Traffic light at Common/College still out, as is one at Common/Gayle, but lights at Common/School and Common/Sale were working. Porch lights on at Darrells and some of the signs for businesses on College just west of Common were on.

Yea I see a decent bit of areas around downtown are up as well. Entergy and their contractors have far exceeded my expectations. Those guys are kicking arse. Now, the wait for Suddenlink to get internet back up. Haven’t heard any type of time frame for that. Hopefully it follows somewhat soon.

Saw a bunch of power crews heading back East today on my drive. I heard 6 months until Suddenlink is fully restored, not sure how accurate that is.

6 months?! Good Lord. I’m gonna go ahead and cancel I guess and see if I can find something in the meantime. I have to have internet to work, I guess I’ll see how AT&T looks, otherwise I’ll have to do some hot spotting or something. At least that way after a month I can get one of those super deal packages Suddenlink offers new customers but not the people who have been giving them money for 10+ years.

Don’t use my hearsay to make that decision. The info came from a pessimist. Keep in mind that’s total restoration, you’re likely looking at a couple weeks at most. FYI, my parents have ATT Wi-Fi and it is currently out and doesn’t compare when stacked against Suddenlink’s speed and reliability. ATT isn’t equipped for our market yet.

Suddenlink has already stated customers would receive billing credits. There’s also some political hellfire for them to get their asses in gear.

Just in case you don't have power and need something else to be pissed off about... Apparently the state of Texas has a "we don't need help so we don't help" policy for their linemen. So as I understand it there isn't a single team from Texas working on the grid.
