Having lived through this I truly feel terrible for the people in the path of this monster. If you are even contemplating staying anywhere South of I-10 DON'T. Get out and save you and your family. God Bless!
I-10 is a long arse road. Can you be more clear?

So they’re calling for it to get to 130mph at some point, then 120mph near landfall. But if it can get to 130mph, it’ll be a Cat. 4.

So all the talk yesterday about a potential turn a little more east is pretty much over?
I was trying to wait until this morning to see for sure. But probably going to tell our employees in BR it's business as usually the next two days.

Once again for your bingo cards, this thing has been going through very rapid intensification.

No reason to think she can’t make a run for cat 4.
There’s nothing in her way until post landfall.
And the microwave scan gives the impression of a storm that’s got its shite together.

Appears to be a Louisiana/ Texas entry, jog East didn't materialize as some speculated

Yeah I am in St Tammany....was supposed to close on my house...moving out of state. My family are posted up at the Southern Hotel in Covington...my closing date was pushed back twice of course lol.
After some of the previous Major Storms, homes, even hours away were somewhat scarce
Your home value may go up

So same as yesterday. With her blowing up last night I thought they would have changed. This bitch needs to get a dome duster like the antifa pos in Wisconsin last night and go away.

During Rita my brothers uncle in law welded steel plates around the cab of his bulldozer then shut himself in with a door he made of the same plate. Rode it out that way drinking beer the whole time.
Ok now that’s awesome

We all laughed at the HWRF a few days ago...
Hopefully they have gathered alot of valuable information from these two storms.

staying on lower Cameron is a death sentence
Unless the Sheriffs departments allows those who stay camp out in the Cameron Parish courthouse. They let some residents stay there during Rita, and it was about the only thing still standing. It’s fortified pretty well.

They may cancel the flight just because, but it’s not going to be bad in BR. Breezy, but nothing too bad.
The wind projection map on the previous page looks like 60-70 mph winds east of the Mississippi River to me. Not saying it will happen but the NHC seems to think so.
