Interested to see the movement with the next update, as others have said, it looks to be more of a NW instead of WNW... unless that’s a good wobble.

HMON slightly east of prior run.

HWRF slightly east of prior run.

Overall the track moves north on both of these runs as opposed to the NW or NNW upon landfall. Could make a big difference in wind damage and rainfall for CENLA parishes.

Cosmo or Lafayette residents

Have a 1 yr old going to Maurice Wednesday night bc we are south of 90.
How does Maurice fair as far as a storm of this nature. Right off of 167 only q few miles from Lafayette. They have 2 generators which is why we are going. Wanted to get someone's opinion on that area. Their neighborhoods didmt flood in 2016 but the road getting there did. Which is no biggiewe can hang there for a few days.
Not an expertbut wanted to get on teamwest due to where i live. Thanks everyone stay safe

When the eye of Laura finally clears out, it is going to be massive. (The eye itself, not the storm)

I'm not hoping for this, but I'm pretty interested in seeing what a Cat 1 looks like in shreveport.

That would be a first for my life time

As long as they aren’t in a flood zone I’d say you are good. We will get some strong wind and might get flooding rains but overall it’s nothing like what LC is about to get.

And you need to get there tomorrow by 3PM

This morning all we heard was a shift westward towards Houston all while the storm was tracking North of projected NHC plotting. I kept addressing this and have been called a “wish caster” all day because the storm was obviously tracking along the eastern part of the cone. Maybe the ones calling for this westward shift were the actual wishcasters

Look back over the last 36 hours and see how much the cone and tvcn track has moved south and west then get back to me
Also look how Laura was moving on the s end of the cone all day yesterday and last night
Also every single model shifted West yesterday afternoon and this morning

Moving 20 miles East is a big difference from moving to vermillion bay like multiple posters were claiming
