The goobers over at 2k keep yapping about poleward outflow.

How is this significantly different over the normal outflow?

I’m staying. Wind, rain, no power maybe. No threat to safety really for me

My buddy just came in off an oil rig platform, he said his company's private mets informed everybody on the rig to always follow your local NWS' office and adhere to forecasts put out by the NHC

Take that fwiw

That sounds pretty fricking awesome, but begs the question:

have they done this before, and where can I watch it?

Hasn't been done the way he wants to try it. They did it with one of the smaller storms earlier this year, I think. It, also, was at night, though.

If they could do it, it would give 360° video from the ground to the whateversphere weather balloons stop.

It isn't poleward, of course.

Long term? Yeah, it’s peaked as a city.

For this storm? Nah, might lose power for a half a day or so.

If I’m living in Lafayette, but butthole is starting to tighten up.

This is riding the north side of the cone and has for awhile. It has to stop going north very quickly to hit the state line.

I mean Levi himself has said to not rule out the western predictions but because the core is north of 25 Lat its more than likely going to be east of current path if not follow directly.

He did not rule out Houston completely. Pretty much everyone from Gavelston Bay to Vermillion Bay needs to be on top of their Hurricane Plan.

Keep fighting the good fight. I know what it’s like to pour your heart and soul into doing the complex math required to report the heading of a storm between each update only to be shite on by the hurricane thread bullies.

I'm not even commenting on if I think the guy is correct. He's apparently on a mission from the gods to make sure everyone knows he's a "pro east" guy. If you don't see a post like that from him, wait one more page and it will for sure show up.
