How do people still fall for this and think the person asking this is being serious?

Marco is the classic example why people should take model prognostications with a high degree of skepticism. The Marco forecast was an abortion from the start.

just made Hurricane status and he is talking about it being Cat 4. Yes wishcasting.

It’s not wishcasting when the latest model show a cat 3-4 at landfall.

And Laura reached hurricane status earlier than anticipated

pretty sure "slackster" would know that this isnt the longest TD thread

I didn't want to ruin the joke by editing the longest thread post, but it gets asked in these threads every time, so it would be a great bingo square.

but ultimately got squashed by it

Sarcasm?

Not even close

There's a 1693 page on the Gaming board
There's the "As the plains burn" thread about Auburn
The Q thread is on page 6422

There's more but this one isn't close

Yea I ride them too. My ride this morning was through that area.

nice. we love the area. we'll probably move further north in a few years tho to avoid the inevitable creep north from 1960. shame tho, i bet this area was a great place to raise kids in the 80's/90's/early 2000's.

I'm legitimately laughing out loud at how much it clearly hooked everyone.

shite your wife is certainly one level headed woman....if a hurricane would have been bearing down on us when my wife was pregnant with #1 we would have been headed to Toronto I'm sure

My wife was 38 weeks pregnant during Harvey (third kid.) I think I was freaking out at the thought of having to deliver my child in the tub more than she was about anything. Still remember the overwhelming feeling of relief after the storm passed and I did a test run to the hospital to make sure the roads were clear. Pulled into the parking lot and broke down.

That's a pretty cool story. Seriously.

I feel like I remember your anxiety in the Harvey thread, but I could be mistaken.

12z models about to run. The 06z Euro EPS didn't show a single Louisiana landfall. Now to see if any other models trend in that direction.

2020 has been a bad year for hurricane/TS models.
Some blame the lack of plane flights, I don’t know but the models are having a bad year.
