Looks like it’s taking a deeper dig SW but may still end up in SWLA, albeit more perpendicular to the coast.

Yea we went ahead and left today and got to Dallas around 9. With three boys under 9, frick sitting in traffic. Everyone I know is leaving after 10am update, gonna be heavy traffic heading to Dallas/Austin/ San Antonio.

I'm busing in Terra saint and really worried I won't have a roof when I get back. Not worried about the house in Westlake as it won't get damage unless it's a hurricane. But the new house still has no windows. We added extra hurricane clips everywhere today but still worried.

I’m leaving LC and headed to Austin. I have enough IHG points for 31 free nights, so y’all just let me know when the power is back on @Gauthier.

I was on Barbe St the other day so I drove through there and I remembered your thread about flooding the neighbor. Pretty sure I saw your new house framed in. Looks nice.

When Rita passed I had a few specs I was building dried in and honestly there was minimal damage to them. Had to change some decking out and that's about it.

Figured that after looking at the upper air soundings tonight. Heights were higher along the gulf coast vs the GFS depiction at 18z for 00z.

LIX was showing up at 591.

That will not happen if it makes landfall west of Lake Charles.

I live in Shreveport. My mom is in Ellick. Got a kid at ULL. We’re all leaving for Colorado in the morning. I was kinda looking for an excuse to go anyway. The threat of losing electricity for a few days in August was all the justification I needed
