Girkin is a former FSB officer who masterminded the 2014 invasion. He's more hardline than Putin has been critical of the war effort's ineptitude and lack of preparation.

Yeah, the Russian model is to mass troops, invade, arrest or kill political opposition and then hold a vote where the invaded populace votes to let Russia take their stuff over. It has been a successful model generally. But not so much in this case. And they see Nazis everywhere. It's time to name a new group of bad guys because I don't know if real nazis exist anymore.

Can’t remember the poster, but a ways back ITT someone mentioned Russia increasing some activity in Africa which lead to a small discussion on Chinese expansion in Africa and how that may be linked to their two roles in Ukraine. Any chance these 3 images are related to China in Africa more than Somalian security?

Ronald McDonald says do svidaniya to Russia.

McDonald's has said it will permanently leave Russia after more than 30 years and has started to sell its restaurants.
The move comes after it temporarily closed its 850 outlets in March.
The fast food giant said it made the decision because of the "humanitarian crisis" and "unpredictable operating environment" caused by the Ukraine war.
The opening of McDonald's first restaurant in Moscow in 1990 came to symbolise a thaw in Cold War tensions.
A year later, the Soviet Union collapsed and Russia opened up its economy to companies from the West. More than three decades later, however, it is one of a growing number of corporations pulling out.
"This is a complicated issue that's without precedent and with profound consequences," said McDonald's chief executive Chris Kempczinski in a message to staff and suppliers.

Yep. For the most part they’ve basically got NATO protection to join NATO. Waiting to see Poland pledge security as well.
