I guess their thread wasn’t getting enough action or something.
They had to move over here for a broader audience in order to keep getting their 45,000 roubles from Russia.

Oil moves around. Finland doesn't give a frick, they KNOW Russia well, as does Poland and the Baltic States.
FWIW, Poland strip mines shale crude (not tight shale crude from wells) to burn like coal
Does anyone really think that Russia is going to cut off its cash cow?

Stop provocation please. Let's hope they remain silent.

Draws direct comparisons to Hitler’s failures, ironically enough, in invading Russia.
Germany built locomotives instead of trucks. The German army was relying on delivering goods into the interior of Russia by train. They faced the delimma of the width (guage) difference in the rails. A large portion of the German army advanced into Russia with horse and carts! Germany never had enough trucks. A huge issue was they could get the goods in so far by train and then it had to be hauled to the rapidly advancing army (often by horse and cart). This sometimes meant vast distances therefore making resupply difficult and time consuming. This caused delays. There was a study completed by the Germans before the invasion that predicted how many kilometers or miles that the German logistics would hold up before it collapsed. That study turned out to be almost precise. But the problem was that no one had the guts to tell Hitler about it. A big problem with authoritarian regimes.
You think Putin might have had the same issue with lack of info? Might be.
Russia's sheer depth (vastness) has saved it during more than one invasion. This is one reason that Putin wants depth back.
One of the most important things that the Soviets got from lend lease was the sheer number of trucks. Those trucks were vital.

Germany & France are trying to help other get around the sanctions.
This pisses me off. They continue to fund Putin's war and compare it to the equipment that they have sent Ukraine. Big difference. If it weren't for the US Ukraine would have had no chance. Frick the damn welching French and Germans.

Good lord. Who knew an arse-backwards country living in caves were smarter than a supposed super power?
Also it’s not that the Russian people are dumber than Afghans or anything like that. Russia has pretty smart engineers and stuff like that. However, their military is made up of kids right out of high school who serve two years and then go onto college. It’s been said many times that they don’t have NCOs worth a darn either. Their officers are the only professional soldiers in their military for the most part and their career advancement is based on who they paid off not their abilities.

Legit wonder how the population will take long term occupation if Ukraine is unable to retake its southern territory
My guess is they will not take it well.
My other guess is any long term Russian occupation of eastern Ukraine will follow the pattern of post WWII occupations and leave the occupier poorer for their efforts.

Do we know who fills the power vacuum in the event Putin died or something?

The Prime Minister SHOULD but Putin might put in one of his advisors and let's see if that holds.
The Prime Minister Seems to be a Pragmatist.

The PM can serve as acting president for up to three months until a new election is held. However, the acting president’s powers are severely limited and the acting president can’t run for election as president (Putin was able to run in 2000 because the election was already scheduled and not a special election). I would assume that United Russia has Putin’s right hand man Dmitry Medvedev run as their candidate and he will win in a rigged election. Dmitry Medvedev is eligible to serve two 6 year terms since Putin moved him fromPM to the security council in 2020. That move was confusing for awhile since Putin and Medvedev remain on good terms. However, it makes sense now that the rumors of Putin’s health have come out, and it is more circumstantial evidence that Putin is sick and the move was done to allow Putin’s preferred successor to be in place to take over if Putin doesn’t live out his term.

Is it about the war in Ukraine? I still post over there about domestic political issues but I don’t think Russia pays for those posts. However, if they do then how do I cash in on it?
To any NSA/CIA/FBI agent’s reading this post. The above statement was sarcasm. I would rather walk through a rice patty with a million cotton mouths in it than take money from Russia.

I know basically nothing about the internal politics in Russian compared to what you and a couple of others appear to know ITT, but I was wondering why nobody really mentioned Medvedev to succeed Putin in any transfer of power.

Ancillary, but related to the conflict given Ukraines wheat exports.
