The Russians likely won’t be in control of those regions come summer.
This invasion has just increased the sense of a Ukrainian national identity
Even in the Russian speaking regions people are shifting to being seen as part of a united Ukraine

An MSNBC analyst has joined Ukraine's fight against invading Russian forces.
Malcolm Nance, an author and former military intelligence analyst, appeared for an interview Monday with MSNBC host Joy Reid, who said he was at a "secure location."
Nance, who was dressed in military garb and holding a rifle, said he joined Ukraine's international legion about a month ago to fend off what he called Russia's "war of extermination."
"The more I saw of the war going on, the more I thought, I’m done talking. All right? It’s time to take action here," he said.
Nance also called on the United States to up the ante in terms of military aide to counter Russia's long-range artillery and protect civilians.
In a message to President Joe Biden, he said the U.S. should provide "counter battery long-range artillery" and multiple rocket launch systems.

I'd view that guy with some skepticism. I doubt he'll have much of role in anything if he's doing media hits and tweeting all day.

A great leader puts people in places they will do the most good. Putting a former savvy media guy as a point man for PR hits is the best place for him.

It did but then it wasn’t all out war/invasion of a country. Back then it was about gaining a foothold when the world media pretended too care but really didn’t and best believe a lot of these Ukraine flag flying people didn’t have a clue as to what what was going on back then.

Oh boy, are we sure those are decoys?

Yeah I think so, very few jet aircraft are assembled on the runway.

Sure, but just make sure he doesn’t get captured or killed as that would make for great enemy prop.

I guess I'm missing something, but why in the heck would someone chose to live in that godforsaken area?
