Massive Russian attack repelled: dozens of vehicles, troops eliminated on eastern front

19.06.2025 16:57

Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled a large-scale mechanized assault by Russian troops on the eastern front, destroying 23 enemy vehicles, including 18 armored fighting vehicles (AFVs) and 13 motorcycles.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Luhansk Operational Tactical Group (OTG) posted a video of the battle on Telegram.

"On June 17, in the area of responsibility of the Luhansk OTG, the enemy had been carrying out assault operations for nearly three hours using armored vehicles and motorcycles," the statement said.

Thanks to coordinated actions by the Ukrainian units, the attack was successfully repelled.

Show me where I said they haven't?

Our political discourse is at a modern low.

The revolution and civil war aren't modern.

Political discourse when many didn't have access to news papers (if they could read at all) and candidates had to literally travel the entire country and stump to get their message out is kind of irrelevant compared to what we are dealing with today where the president can fire off a tweet and have millions see it within a couple of hours.

What we are dealing with today is different than what we've experienced before. That doesn't make it better or worse than other things.

Please learn to read what people are saying and argue with their actual points instead of whatever schizoid nonsense comes into your brain when you read half a post.

RIP to the Trigger master of the Troskyites.

Also your boy Reagan is responsible for California turning permanently blue. He granted amnesty after falling for the promises of alot of lying democrats like Tip O'Neil. So Reagan was far from the perfect specimen you view him as. But I imagine you love HW Bush, Cheney and John McCain also. People.like you can't help themselves. You are boomer neocons still fighting the cold war.

I don't care if he is banned personally, but if he is Cypher should also be banned IMO. Do what you're gonna do but be consistent about it. Oh and the new JB clone should be too but I haven't seen them in a while.

Russian nighttime attack on Ukraine: air defence downs 40 UAVs, 6 hits recorded

I think Ukraine needs a wall of fast, reusable fighter drones that can catch and shoot down these Iranian drones. Stingers and anti-air missiles don't have a good cost ratio against cheap Shaheds.

Spot on. I just ran across an article this AM mentioning that they are working on it. I'll see if I can find it.

EDIT: This is the article I was thinking of.

Some interesting ideas in that article, but perhaps they are overthinking it. Night vision is not too difficult these days and early warning is simply a matter of a network of observers and listening posts.

A reusable night attacking fighter drone with a shotgun might work. I'm sure they have lots of gamers who could fly one. Ukraine has been nothing if not innovative in this war.

I don’t know. Maybe the owners realized he was a paid spammer, but that’s just a guess.

Russia Unwittingly Confirms Ukraine’s Estimates of Russian Casualties in Ukraine

quote:

In a rare slip, a senior Russian diplomat has inadvertently confirmed both the number of Russian troops in Ukraine as well as casualty figures that align with Western and Ukrainian estimates — highlighting staggering losses. Andrey Kelin, Russia’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, told CNN on June 19 that around 600,000 Russian soldiers are currently stationed in Ukraine.
quote:

Crucially, Kelin also admitted that Russia has been able to maintain this force level because of continuous recruitment and rotation. He said Russia replaces 30,000 to 40,000 troops every month—a figure that, over 28 months of war, would imply well over one million troops cycled in and out of the front, with hundreds of thousands killed, wounded, or otherwise rendered unfit for service. When combined with prior casualty data and internal Russian sources, the 1 million figure becomes increasingly plausible.
quote:

Kelin’s comments, though intended to downplay the scale of losses, unintentionally confirm the opposite: that Russia is cycling through massive numbers of troops, sustaining immense casualties, and facing mounting pressure to maintain manpower.

Karoline Leavitt quotes President Trump in a new statement saying that based on the "substantial chance of negotiations that may or may not take place" with Iran in the near future, he will make his decision "whether or not to go" in the next two weeks.

Ok everybody, drink.

Last week he put a emoji in one of his posts describing the large number of deaths of Ukrainian soldiers in a single battle along with a photo of the soldiers bodies stacked up in a trench where they died.

I have no idea if that is what caused his suspension (IF he's suspended) but if it was, then WELL DONE admins!

I’m not getting my hopes up. Maybe he was actually an American and an Arkansas baseball fan. He could have stepped away from the internet briefly to process the elimination yesterday.

DPRK Plans to Send Thousands of Workers to Russia to Produce Drones

Oleksandr Yan June 19, 2025 18:29

North Korea is considering sending labor to the Russian Shahed production of – Russia is preparing a new infrastructure for them.

The Japanese media NHK reports on this, citing its own diplomatic sources in the West and Russia.

Russia is increasing the production of drones, and North Korea can fully provide it with cheap and disciplined labor in exchange for training to operate them.

This regards the plans to send 25,000 North Korean workers to the Alabuga Special Economic Zone, the location of the main production facilities for Shahed-136/Geran-2 drones and other reconnaissance drones.

These intentions are confirmed by the latest satellite images of the industrial agglomeration in Alabuga, where the Dnipro Osint researcher has identified intensified construction work.

The images show the construction of new buildings – probably dormitories – on three plots with a total area of about 1.39 km² next to a residential area. Already, there are up to 50 new buildings in various stages of completion. But judging by the marked construction sites, the planned number will be much higher.

more details regarding the possible infrastructure for 25000 workers...
