Z isn’t helping Ukrsine like this.

Trump and Vance look bad too.

Agreed.

Anecdotally, my wife went to HS with his sister. Escaped the same situation he faced. She was raised by a tough granny who pushed her to get educated. Avoided the pressures of drugs and economic depression in that area. Maybe that pulls on my heartstrings and makes me biased.

The first time I visited Ohio and their hometown I was shocked how much of the area had simply died off and were essentially boarded up ghost towns.

Gave me even more respect for her and the people from that area. I’m a fan

Give thanks to the legacy media and Pelosi, for this historic moment. Impeachment hoaxes have consequence's.

Zelensky is an idiot. He should know better than to try to argue with Trump or Vance in front of the media. They gutted him.

He got absolutely cooked.

I find it hard to believe that Trump trusts Putin to keep his word. Has Putin ever kept his word except when he's invading other countries.

Zelensky, Trump get into heated argument while speaking with journalists in Oval Office

by Oleksiy Sorokin February 28, 2025 7:26 PM

President Volodymyr Zelensky and U.S. President Donald Trump held a 45-minute-long press briefing in the Oval Office that ended in a heated argument about American aid to Ukraine, and the cancelling of the planned signing of the US-Ukraine mineral agreement.

In a post on Truth Social after the meeting, Trump said Zelensky "disrespected the the United States of America in the cherished Oval Office.

"He can come back when he is ready for peace," he added.

Zelensky met Trump in Washington on Feb. 28 as the two leaders were expected to sign a framework deal on Ukraine's natural resources.

But during a press conference, a scuffle began following Zelensky's answer to U.S. Vice President JD Vance's comments that Ukraine must agree to U.S. peace terms.

When Zelensky began to respond, Trump said, "You've done a lot of talking."

"From the start of the war we were alone," Zelensky said.

"If you didn't have our military equipment, this war would have been over in two weeks," Trump said.

"In three days... I heard that from (Russian President Vladimir) Putin," Zelensky responded. "Now, it's two weeks."

"Just say thank you," JD Vance jumped in. Zelensky added that he said thank you to the "American people."

In one of the videos posted online, Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova is seen shaking her head in disbelief.

"God bless you won't have a war," Zelensky said.

"You don't know that, don't tell us what we feel," Trump said.

Following a growing argument between the two, Trump said that Ukraine isn't in the position to set the terms for a future agreement.

"You are not in a good position. You don't have the right cards right now," Trump said.

"I'm not playing cards," Zelensky responded.

"You're disrespecting this country, you can't play with it," Trump then said.

“It’s going to make great television,” Trump said after the argument. The press briefing ended shortly after.

Trump shook Zelensky's hand as they stood before journalists, remaining silent as questions were shouted their way.

How many countries were invaded while Trump lived at 1600 PA Ave?

That’s why Trump “trusts” Putin. But it not that he really trusts him, he just knows Putin won’t do anything stupid while Trump is in charge. And history backs that up.

People are melting, but what President Trump and VP Vance laid bare was two irrefutable facts:

1. Ukraine cannot win the war. Period, full stop.

2. Ukraine needs to accept whatever terms it can get today because with every passing day, the terms it can get worsen.

No amount of aid from the West will change these facts. There is no point to keep this war going if you actually care about Ukraine because nothing is to be gained from the Ukrainian standpoint. The only county who benefits from the war continuing is Russia because the longer it goes, the more ground they gain and the closer they drive Ukraine to compete military collapse.

Zelenskyy is either a damned fool for keeping the war going, or he’s afraid to lose his power if the war ends. And from an American standpoint, why should we continue to pump billions of dollars into propping up the side that has no hope of winning?
