That's another aspect. I say it all the time, many of the leaders in this conflict are essentially publicly negotiating with each other when they make various statements. Doing shite like this negotiates against yourself.

So I guess a summary would be:

Putting Zelensky down - Good

Doing it on camera - not so good

Ukraine has been getting considerable aid from the US and other sources since 2014.

They werd getting resources to fight the rebellion in the Donbas, but nothing like what was necessary to fight a large scale Russian invasion. It was only after the West saw Ukraine’s stiff resistance and early successes did the aid begin pouring in the amounts needed at that time.

Zelensky is an idiot. He should know better than to try to argue with Trump or Vance in front of the media.

That’s stupid

Have you ever participated in a mediation?

The parties are always separated and the mediator talks to each party alone.

That is to avoid what we just witnessed, sad

What is fictional about his post? The T-14 isn't combat worthy and has broken down in public.

As of early 2025, Russia's T-14 Armata main battle tank remains largely absent from active combat operations and is not expected to be deployed in significant numbers in the near future. Despite initial plans for mass production, the program has faced numerous challenges, including production delays, high costs, and logistical issues. In March 2024, Sergey Chemezov, CEO of Rostec, confirmed that while the T-14 had entered service, it would not replace the existing T-90 tanks due to its expense. Reports suggest that only a limited number of T-14 units have been produced, and their deployment has been minimal. The tank's high cost and production difficulties have led Russia to continue relying on modernized versions of older tank models, such as the T-72 and T-90, for its armored forces. ?

The minerals deal is small potatoes.

I'm talking about a peace deal.

The parties in the room today are SUPPOSED to be on the same side, thats why this was bad.

Zelenskyy won't get out of Ukraine's way. The Trump Admin could have been more professional, but Z had it coming.

Trump's attitude is that Ukraine is not big or strong enough to not be told what it is going to do... nobody is except Russia and China, apparently... maybe North Korea.

Zelensky just played to Europe...

Trump and Vance just played to their base, here...

Europe expects Trump for frick Ukraine, anyway. This will bring Europe together in support.

And Trump just posted something saying "America is out."

So, America is out.

Will Europe stay in is the question.

What do you not like about JD? I get the Trump hate. He’s not for everyone.

Also I appreciate the exchange. Transparency in the administration.

JD is one of the better politicians of our time.

Incredibly smart but knows how to communicate with the working class, and most importantly knows what is important to them and what they want.

I sincerely hope he gets a fair shake in 2028. He would be the first politician in my lifetime that I would volunteer for.

I was unsure about him when Trump first chose him for VP. Not any more, he's Trump but with the ability to articulate effectively. Sharp dude, and at this point he has my vote in the next presidential election.

Europe doesn't have a Army. They said they will only send troops if America does
